Making Things Right

The Sleep Train Arena is bustling with action and excitement as Breakdown is coming to a close.  The night was capped off with a massive brawl between allies of Katya and allies of Sasha as tensions continued to mount heading into Making Things Right, a night that would decide the balance of power in Supreme Championship Wrestling.  Kimberly Williams, though, has no dog in this fight.  Her night at Making Things Right involves a battle royal to determine a number one contender to the Adrenaline Championship; a title held by Ravyn Taylor, an ally of Kim’s identical twin sister Marie Jones.

Kimberly doesn’t know what her sister expects of her in this battle royal.  Does she try to win or just try to eliminate potential threats to Ravyn?  Secondly, if she does win, does she try to defeat Ravyn or just let Ravyn win?  Kimberly isn’t quite sure what her sister is thinking nowadays.  Kimberly thinks this alliance with Katya and company is not a good idea but Marie seems convinced that siding with Katya is the way to go.

If she had her way, Kim would be tearing Katya and Dark Fantasy to shreds.  She is convinced they are using Marie and that pisses Kimberly off to no end.  But Kim can’t bring herself to do it out of respect for Marie.  That fierce loyalty and respect towards her twin may end up costing her in the long run.  Kimberly will end up having to deal with this one day.  She cannot keep kicking the can down the road.

For now, however, she did manage to avoid somewhat of a catastrophe.  It appeared as if this controversy would cause Marie and their mother Angelica to come to blows but Kimberly managed to stop it before things got too out of hand.

How long can she keep it up, though?

Kimberly is grinning from ear to ear as she follows Marie down the hall in the backstage area of The Sleep Train Arena.  Marie seems angry, frustrated that things turned out the way they did.  She was hoping to get the last laugh, not get run off by Sasha’s allies; and definitely not run off by her own mother, Angelica.  Williams, though, provides a bit of a light-hearted air in the otherwise tense atmosphere and she does so as only Kimberly can…

“That was fun!  Can we do it again?”

“No!” Marie exclaims.

“Awwww, please?  I promise to be good and I promise not to kidnap Syren tomorrow and lock her up in Regan Street’s basement.”

Jones stops dead in her tracks and turns to face Kimberly with a shocked glare. “What?!”

“Nothing!” Kimberly says, feigning innocence.

“Good, because I don’t need to deal with any of your craziness right now.”

“How about Ace Marshall’s craziness? Or Cassidy’s?  Her craziness is kinda fun.  Or maybe…”

“Shut up, Kim!” Marie snaps. “I’m serious.  I can’t deal with anything else but Making Things Right.”

“Oh I agree completely.  You and mom should totally make things right with each other.  I mean, you two nearly came to blows and…”

“No!” Marie shakes her head vehemently, as she seemingly ignores her twin sister’s casual reference to the brawl earlier and what nearly was a fight between mother and daughter. “I meant the pay per view Making Things Right.”

Marie places her hands on Kim’s shoulders. “Do you have any idea what is at stake here?”

“I think so, but I still don’t understand why Katya and Sasha are fighting for an all expense paid vacation to Somalia.”

“No, Kim, just no…” Marie sighs as her voice trails off “…this is about power.  It’s about control.  Whoever controls the booking of SCW will control the direction of this company.  If Sasha and her allies win, Sasha gets to book and this company will never change.  The same people will still get the same opportunities they’ve always been handed and yet have never earned.”

“And if Katya wins there will be a cure for cancer, world peace, and…uh…UNICORNS!” Kimberly pipes in, interrupting her sister’s rant. “Can I have a unicorn if Katya wins?  Please?”

“No!  There are NO unicorns, Kim!” Marie exclaims.  Her tone grows sterner and louder as her frustration grows. “If Katya wins the people who have been held down, who have been held back, will get the opportunities they rightfully deserve.”

“You mean people like you…” Kimberly answers back with a smirk “…like that world championship match you got at the End of the Year Special, am I right? Oh, wait, that’s right, the FANS gave you that title shot.”

“Don’t start, Kim…” Marie shakes her head.

“Sorry, Marie, but you need to hear it from someone and clearly mom is too damn afraid to say anything, so I’ll say it.  Katya and Dark Fantasy have done NOTHING for your career since you sided with them.”

“Wrong.  I got the world title shot…”

“A title shot that the FANS awarded you through a vote.  Katya had nothing to do with it.  Her and Dark Fantasy have done nothing to get you more opportunities.  All they’ve done is use you as cannon fodder for this stupid little war they started.” Kimberly motions with her thumb back out to the entrance area that leads to the ring. “What happened out there tonight was just a sample of what you’ve become since siding with them.  You’ve become a solider.  You fight their battles on their behalf and what do you get in return?  You got Gio on Breakdown.  You got Andrew Raynes in a tag match on Breakdown.  You got Gio again at Making Things Right.”

“The opportunities are coming.” Marie insists.

“When?” Kimberly asks, folding her arms over her chest.

“Syren promised me a title shot when she wins the title back at Making Things Right.”

“Right, and you can certainly take her word for it.” Kimberly rolls her eyes. “She helped orchestrate an elaborate plot to frame Kennedy Street and in the process get the title back around her waist.  Her and Dark Fantasy lied to and manipulated everyone.  And they’re lying and manipulating you, Marie.”

“How would you even know?!” Marie demands, her anger growing.

“Do you even have to ask?  Lying and manipulation used to be my shtick.  All of the games they’re playing to manipulate you are the same games I used to play.  The only difference is they make it look good and when I do it I look like a drunken chimpanzee.”

Kimberly sighs and shakes her head. “Point is, Marie, I am helping you under protest.  Once upon a time I would have gladly thrown my lot in with Katya and Dark Fantasy.  I would’ve helped them willingly.  But you changed me, Marie.  You gave me something that no one had ever given me before…”

“A soul?” Marie asks somewhat sarcastically.

“No, silly; a hamster.  But you also gave me a sense of right and wrong.  I know what they’re doing is wrong and it’s your fault that I know it, Marie.”

“Ungrateful…” Marie says plainly, her voice trailing off.

“Huh?”

“You heard me.  You’re being ungrateful.  Katya has done a lot for everyone, including you.  You made it to the main roster of SCW and out of that sinkhole known as EMERGE, didn’t you?  That was Katya all the way.  And you’re being ungrateful to me.  I’ve done a lot for you, Kim, and all I ask is for you to help me out with this.  This one little favor and you don’t want to play along?”

Marie doesn’t realize it but that one word, ‘ungrateful’, it hit Kimberly like a ton of bricks.  Kimberly has been working with Marie under protest this whole time only because she does feel guilty over her own past misdeeds done against Marie.  Yet Marie forgave her and then helped her gain a sense of mental stability and regain her footing as a semi-normal contributor to society.  Marie has no idea how bad Kimberly feels right now.

“You’re right…” Kimberly sighs “…I’m sorry, Marie.”

“It’s ok, sis.” Marie embraces her twin in a tight hug. “I get it, you’re still learning.  But you’ll get there.  And I know you may not trust Katya…”

“That’s an understatement.”

“…BUT you can trust me.  We are almost at the finish line.  If Katya wins at Making Things Right, we’ll have arrived.  You and me both.  Ok?”

Kimberly doesn’t believe her but reluctantly nods her head anyway. “Ok, sis.  Whatever you say.”

It has been two days since Kimberly poured her heart out to Marie after Breakdown.  Unfortunately, Marie was not receptive to Kimberly.  Now Kimberly feels even more guilty about the role she’s playing in this whole ordeal.  To be perfectly honest, she doesn’t care about this war between Mr. D’s children.  She doesn’t care about it one iota.  She does, however, want to help her twin sister Marie.  She just isn’t sure how she should help her sister Marie.  She is certain that Dark Fantasy is manipulating Marie but if she goes after them, if she targets them, that potentially hurts Kimberly’s relationship with Marie.  If she helps Marie by doing whatever Marie asks, then she becomes an accomplice to something she knows is wrong.

Damn that morality Marie gave her!  Damn it all to hell!  Life was so much easier when she was just a simple sociopath with no sense of right and wrong!

Few understand her plight but one individual who happens to be an excellent listener is her hamster, Caligula.  That hamster not only will listen to whatever Kimberly says but he’ll talk back!  Of course, Kimberly is providing his voice for him.  It  is unclear whether she is just pretending or if she actually hear a voice in her head that belongs to a hamster…

Kimberly is lying on her raggedy stiff sofa in her run down, ‘less than appealing’ home in Boston, Massachusetts.  She’s staring absent-mindedly at a hamster cage sitting on the coffee table, a cage containing her beloved pet hamster Caligula.

“Watcha staring at, slut?”

“Huh?”

“You heard me, woman. Take a picture!  It lasts longer!”

“Oh, sorry Caligula.” Kimberly sighs, shaking her head. “I guess I’m just fucking up on all fronts lately.”

“Would ya quit your bitching about Marie already?” Caligula complains. “I had to listen to your damn whining all day when you got back.  You even forgot to feed me, ya stupid bitch!”

“Sorry about that, but…” Kimberly furrows her brow “…wait, how did you know about my argument with Marie?”

“Are ya deaf?  I just said you were whining about it all day.  Besides, I don’t actually have a voice, remember?  Yer making this shit up yourself, you loony toon.”

“Right, so I’m fucking things up AND I’m crazy…” Kimberly swings her legs over the side of the sofa and sits up.  She rests her head in her hands and sighs. “…oh Caligula, what will I do?”

“Honestly?  I think you should fuck that Katya bitch up.”

“But what about Marie?”

“Screw her.  You survived most of you adult life on your own, living off the grid.  You don’t need the bitch in your life.”

“I know that I can get by without her, but I don’t want to.” Kimberly frowns. “I’ve become the one thing I never wanted to become.”

“Normal?” Caligula asks.

“Normal?  Hell no!” Kimberly scoffs. “I’m talking to a foul mouthed hamster.  Of course I’m not normal.  But I am human.  And it’s all Marie’s fault!”

“I’m confused.  You want to be with her but you sound pissed off with her.  You make no fucking sense, bitch.”

“She’s my sister.  I can’t just abandon her.  That’s not what family is for.”

Kimberly opens up the cage door and reaches inside.  She gently picks up Caligula and brings him out.  She sets him on her lap and starts to stroke him.

“That’s it!  You know how to stroke me, woman!  Keep it up, bitch!”

“Caligula!” Kimberly says in a scolding tone.

“Sorry, but you’re the one petting me.  Plus you’re hot as fuck.”

“Why thank you!” Kimberly gushes. “But seriously, what do I do with Marie?”

“What would your mom do?”

“Nothing.” Kimberly sighs as she paused to consider the situation.  Just then her eyes light up like a Christmas tree. “I wonder what dad would do?”

“I can tell you what your old man would do.  NOTHING!  Because he’s fucking dead and rotting away in the ground somewhere!”

“Duh, but that’s not really what I meant.  I know next to nothing about my dad and his family.  Marie knows a little and what little she does know she isn’t sharing.  I wonder why?”

“Maybe it’s some kinda fucked up skeleton in the closet?  Maybe your old piece of shit dad was a clown in a traveling circus or he voted Republican.”

“Who knows?” Kimberly shrugs her shoulders. “But there’s only way to find out.”

Kimberly brings Caligula up to her face and kisses him. “Thank you for listening, Caligula!”

“Not like I had much of a choice.  Now go make me a sandwich, woman!”

Week in and week out myself, along with the rest of the SCW Universe…

…wait, do we even HAVE a universe?  Nah, too cheesy.  Let’s go with something different…

Ahem, let me start over!

Week in and week out, myself, along with the rest of the SCW GALAXY are subjected to the mindless banter between Katya and Sasha.  Back and forth, tit for tat…

“She’s the golden child!”

“She’s abusing her power!”

Boo, fucking hoo!  I don’t care.  And this little sibling rivalry bores me.  You two don’t even know how to do a sibling rivalry properly.  You think this stupid little bitchfest is a sibling rivalry?  I kidnapped my sister and locked her ass up in a basement and then replaced her for months.  Now THAT is a sibling rivalry, little girls!

So no, I don’t give one shit about this stupid sibling rivalry between Katya and Sasha.  It’s dumber than Team Edward versus Team Jacob.  Although I must admit that Katya does resemble a big hairy werewolf and Sasha reminds me of a sparkly vampire.  Unfortunately your feud is almost to the level of stupid that the Twilight saga itself was!

I only care about this because my sister is caught in the middle of it all.  She chose to ally herself with Team Jacob…err Team Katya.  Now you saw me fighting alongside Katya’s allies on Breakdown but make no mistake about it I was not fighting alongside them.  I was fighting with and for my sister Marie.   My sister is the only reason I care at all about this stupid war.

Truthfully, if I had my way, I would maim Katya.  If I had my way, I would maim Dark Fantasy.  They are manipulating Marie.  I know it. The world can see it.  And maybe one day, my sister will see it.  And when that day comes, when I get the green light of approval, I will maim them.

Until then what I do is for Marie.  Not for any of the rest of you piles of garbage.

But that does NOT mean I am going to be anyone’s foot soldier or anyone’s welcome mat.  Which brings us to the battle royal to determine a number one contender for the Adrenaline Championship…

Hi there, Ravyn!  Ever since my days in EMERGE I have wanted to play with you. At first it was just to match my own intelligence and wit against yours.  Most of the time I may act like a jovial, happy go lucky, psychopath, but as you can see, deep inside there is a darkness.  It is a darkness that I try to keep bottled up because it is horrible.  It is frightening.  And unlike my mother, I don’t give it some stupid ass name.  It’s just evil, plain and simple.  And when this part of me comes out, I tend to be more ruthless and really fucking cunning.

Now that you’re helping Katya to manipulate my sister, it’s simply become personal.  I really do hope you retain the championship against Owen Cruze.  I really do.  Because I’m gonna win this damn battle royal and then I’m coming for you!  I’m coming to rip your throat out and take that championship away from you!

Katya can take THAT opportunity and I’ll shove it down her throat while I’m at it.  In fact, I’ll take this opportunity and shove it down the throats of all of my opponents at Making Things Right!

We have newcomers like Jordan Majors!  Jordan Majors, welcome to SCW!  My name is Kimberly Williams and I’ll be your executioner today!  How do you like your head?  Maimed and mangled ore a clean cut decapitation?  I can do it however you want!

We have former world champions!  Hi there, Dawnie!  Alexis!  Tommy!  I look forward to a fun-filled evening of destruction!

Congratulations Katie Steward for becoming the so-called true ‘goddess’ of SCW.  Not that shit like that means anything. This is one prize you won’t get because it belongs to me.

Sam Raine and Crissy Gardner, our families have crossed paths before.  That was when I was still the bad Jones daughter.  But now I’m good!  That doesn’t change the outcome, though.  This STILL won’t turn out well for you, girls.

Max Kane and Aaron Blackbourne, bring your best.  Bring your A-Game. It won’t be enough.  I am focused and I know what I want and it isn’t necessarily the Adrenaline Champion…that would just be icing on the cake…

…I want Ravyn’s head on a platter.

The Evil Contained

========== January 25th, 2020 Chicago, Illinois Off Camera ========== The streets are the most private of public spaces, much the same as walking in a country lane in some rural place. Yet if you are okay with solitude, if you matured passed the point of loneliness to feel your own worth, there is a vibrancy here that can uplift the soul. All around there are moments of kindness, fleeting smiles and gestures of appreciation that are the beauty on this canvas of weathered grey. We are separate, it's true, but we are together too. These streetlamps that light the way in every nighttime are ours, as brilliant as any landing strip for skyborne pilots.  Standing off to herself in one of the darker spots on the street corner, just inside a back alley, is none other than Kimberly Williams.   The Woman Scorned is here in Chicago for an SCW wrestling event tomorrow night, a night where she competes for the SCW United States Championship against Bree Lancaster.   But tonight

========== Off Camera ========== This run down home would appear, at first glance, to be abandoned.   It appears to be un-kept and completely ignored, allowing time to do its dirty work of destruction.   Sections of ceiling hang limp in the stagnant air. Fragments of plaster lie damp over a long un-trodden floor, their only purpose to soak in the seasonal rain. Cold water seeps through window frames, rotten and blistered, to nurse the mildew and rise up wallpapers that peel.   Dust lay over every surface like dirty snow, pristine dust layer, not a foot print anywhere, dust bunnies the size of bowling balls tumbled across the floor boards toward unseen skittles, free papers piled up to the letter box and cascaded all the way to the foot of the rough wooden stairs, old tea cups lay on a coffee table thickly encrusted with dried up mould, dust covered mirrors, smell of mildew, stale air, air thick with dust, shafts of light bursting through gaps in the boarded up window, light

Independence Day

========== February 6th, 2020 Seattle, Washington Off Camera ========== The bar is hundreds of conversations told in loud voices, all of them competing with the rock music that dominates the atmosphere. The crowd is young, mostly students from a nearby university for the most part.  Kimberly winds her way through the warm bodies to find a spot at the bar where she sits down on a soft red cushioned stool.   The Woman Scorned flags down the bartender, a brown haired woman who slowly approaches… “What do you want to drink?” The bartender asks. Kimberly ponders the question for a moment before finally shrugging her shoulders. “Uh, just surprise me.” “Repeat that, miss?” “I’ll take anything.” Kimberly says pointedly, with more emphasis this time.  The bartender sighs as she turns to prepare a drink for her strange new patron. Kimberly rests her hand on the rough paintwork that coats the door and push. Rough wooden splinters cut into my palm; shards of black
